The secret is in the lid

Under every cap sits a fine metal mesh. Turn the jar over and nothing pours. Give it a gentle tap or a light shake and the colour falls through the mesh as fine, even granules, a little at a time.

That means no sudden heaps, no spills across the floor, and full control over how much colour goes where. Tap lightly for a soft shade, tap more for a deep, solid fill.

Four easy steps

1. Place the stencil flat on a clean, dry floor.
2. Tap in the colour. Turn a jar over the cut-out and tap or shake gently. The mesh lets out an even sprinkle.
3. Add more colours. Switch jars for petals, borders and centres.
4. Lift straight up. Raise the stencil slowly and a crisp, finished rangoli stays on the floor.
